I've really found an explanation for my question about human temptation and morality through working on these paintings.  I've found definition in what I know to be right and wrong, and for the longest time I felt like there was no more good in man.  Instead, I've learned that my "good-guy syndrome" is not to be forsaken because others chose not to live by a code of ethics and chivalry.  This series was inspired by my girlfriend Tanisha, nicknamed Ni Ni.  Interaction with her and our relationship thus far has shown me that "life is a trip so sometimes we gon stumble" (Jay-Z, "Power Remix") and I've stumbled one time too many.  I'm inspired by my growth as not only an individual, but as an artist.  I'm starting to see life for what it really is in the present time and day.  Further explanation will be posted.

Man in a slump

Here's the first 2 projects of the semester, although I have really not shown anything really moving or stimulating in these pieces, maybe its me, but I'm feeling a slump. Anyways I know myself, so I'm being highly critical.

I feel it coming...Monday

Monday is the official start of my classes and I'm really getting to my grind and pushing work out. My teacher saw many of my new works and allowed me the freedom to continue in the same path from this summer in Special Problems in Painting..otherwise known as Painting 3. Its pretty much an independent study class and I'm creating my own curriculum pretty much. I think I'm gonna love this semester.

In the mean time....

Back to the Yard

I have not posted anything recently simply because....I just don't have anything to post. I just got back to school and look forward to getting back in the grind of working and creating. I had to take a little break and clear my mind, and ready myself for new ideas and activites. So here's to a good school year in ART...CHEERS!!

*I've also been watching the Bravo TV Series "Work of Art: The Next Great Artist", man that show is truly amazing.
